French Creek Home Inspections!

The name French Creek is an homage to my father. Beril Roland Dye was raised along French Creek near Belmont WV and, with only a seventh grade education, he was one of the smartest men I’ve ever known. Dad taught me to fix things on my own, but do it well. He actually read manuals and took the time to learn how things are meant to work. Thanks Dad!

If schedule permits, it is beneficial to be present for the inspection. It is easier to understand the areas of concern and appreciate their significance. At the end of the inspection, I will present a high-level re-cap of my findings. Clients with busier schedules may opt to attend the re-cap only. All findings will be documented in the report, including descriptions and pictures. For those unable to attend, we can schedule a meeting or conference call to discuss the report.
No. A home inspection is not pass/fail, it is simply a review of the property in its current state.

What We Do

FROM ATTIC TO CRAWL SPACE ..

… we inspectors complete a visual evaluation of the systems and components of a home. As a result you receive a detailed report that provides valuable information and direction that will allow you to make an informed purchase or maintenance decision. That direction will often require further investigation by licensed trades, so allow time for further review.

STANDARDS OF PRACTICE

Licensed home inspectors in North Carolina are regulated by the NC Home Inspector Licensure Board and are required to follow the NCHILB Standards of Practice.

Pre-Drywall inspections are based on a subset of the NC SOP as defined by the Inspector Nation SOP for Pre-Drywall Home Inspection.
