First Native American rapper to be featured in Arizona Hip-Hop Festival will soon have a new album and tour datesand doing it for fun,\u201d said King Blizz.<\/p>\n
It wasn\u2019t until 2014 King Blizz would begin his career as an MC and begin performing around the Phoenix metropolitan area at open mics and opening slots for other artists.<\/p>\n
King Blizz started working with well known underground hip-hop group Respected Underground with known artist Ace Hood while in his early years in Phoenix.<\/p>\n
He is known to be the first Native American rapper to be featured in the Arizona Hip-Hop Festival in Phoenix, performing there for the last three years and planning another appearance this year.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat was a good experience for me,\u201d said King Blizz, who added a few other Native American performers have performed at the hip-hop fest since then.<\/p>\n
Before he releases \u201cDark Shades Bright Future,\u201d King Blizz said he plans on releasing a couple of music videos with an acquaintance.<\/p>\n
\u201cI plan to release a couple of music videos, one in the spring and one in the summer,\u201d said King Blizz.<\/p>\n
He will also release a tribute to his friend and band mate Yung E., who passed away in the summer of 2016.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was a great artist and a wonderful person,\u201d said King Blizz.<\/p>\n
King Blizz also has two scheduled shows this year, the Arizona Hip-Hop Fest and a show in Gallup in June, featuring various of Native American hip-hop and rap artists from around the Four Corners.<\/p>\n
After the release of his album, King Blizz plans to tour the whole West Coast including Oakland, California; Seattle; San Diego, California and Las Vegas, Nevada. \u201c<\/p>\n
This year I am going to branch out. It\u2019s going to be a big year and I can\u2019t wait to get it started,\u201d said King Blizz.<\/p>\n
He is recording his new album in various studios across the Valley of the Sun, working with different producers on different songs.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s hard to say where we are recording, I\u2019m working in a lot of places,\u201d said King Blizz.<\/p>\n
