CHINLE — Oral arguments in the sexual harassment case against former Diné College food service director Franco Lee have been set for 9:30 a.m. on April 12 in Win- dow Rock District Court.

The arguments will concern a motion for summary judgment put forth by the defendants, Lee, 46, of Whiteriver, Arizona, and Aramark Educational Services, the food service contractor at the college and Lee’s former employer.

A motion for summary judgment may be filed by either side when neither side disputes the facts of the case. It asks the judge to make a determination without the case going to trial.

The suit was filed by Helena LaPlant, 48, of Flagstaff, who worked as a sous-chef at the college from March 2013 until April 2014.

LaPlant alleges she was continually harassed by Lee during that time and wrongfully fired.

LaPlant seeks an unspecified amount in damages, including back pay, forward pay, and reinstatement.
